Special Stitches:
Popcorn Stitch: Work 5 dc in st indicated, drop the loop
from the hook; insert the hook from the front in top of
the first st of the group; hook the dropped loop and pull through.

Instructions for Totally Crocheted "Bead" Garland:

Materials:
Small amount of sportweight cotton in 2 colors
(designer used burgundy and white)
3.0 mm hook Conversion Chart

Abbreviations:
Sc: single crochet
Tr: Triple (treble) crochet
Sl: sl
St(s): stitch(es)
Ch: Chain
Sp: space

Instructions:
"Beads":
Using burgundy ch 4 (counts as first dc here and throughout), work 4
MORE dc in 4th ch from hook and complete as for popcorn stitch; * ch
5, dc in 4th ch from hook; work 4 MORE dc in 4th ch from hook and
complete as for popcorn st; repeat from * for as long as you want
"bead" garland to be changing to white in last part of last st.

Designers Note: Making it an odd number of beads (ex. 55, 57, 59)
makes it work out evenly.

Ch 4 and sc in space between first 2 beads; ch 4, sc in space
between next 2 beads repeat from * across to last sp between
last 2 beads; ch 4 and sl st in end of first popcorn. Fasten off.

With "beads" (bump is toward you) facing attach white with sl
st in first ch 4 sp; ch 3 (counts as first dc, work 2 dc, ch 3,
work 3 dc all in same ch-4 sp; ch 1, sc in next ch-4 sp; ** ch 1,
work (3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) in next ch-4 sp, ch 1, sc in next ch 4
sp, repeat from ** across to last ch 4 sp; work 3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc)
in last sp; ch 3; join with sl st to end of "bead".

Weave in ends.
