Abbreviations:
ch: chain
st(s): stitch(es)
sc: single crochet
hdc: half double crochet

Materials:
Designer used a Sportweight cotton/acrylic blend
1 ounce - designer used "Sand"
Hook: 3.5 mm Conversion chart
tapestry needle for weaving in ends.

Instructions
This pattern makes a tie which is the same width all the way down.
To make tie narrower at back see below.

Row 1: ch 11; sc in second ch from hook, hdc in next st;*(sc in next st, hdc in next st); Repeat from * across; ch 1, turn.
Row 2: sc in first st, hdc in next st; *( sc in next st, hdc in next st); Repeat from * across; ch 1, turn.

Repeat row 2 until piece measures 50". Fasten off.
Weave in ends with tapestry needle.

To Make tie narrower at back:
If you would like the pattern to narrow at the back: crochet the pattern until it is 14" long and then decrease one stitch on each side....

Once the decreases are made the stitching will change to hdc in first st, sc in next; *hdc in next st, sc in next; repeat from * to end.
