Materials:
3 ounces(worsted weight)(green)
1.5 ounces (worsted weight)(white)
small amount of (worsted weight)(burgandy)
hook: 5.0 mm Conversion chart
tapestry needle for sewing

Abbreviations:
ch: chain
sc: single crochet
st(s): stitch(es)
RS: right side
WS: wrong side
sc2tog: single crochet next 2 sts together

Size: Approximately 16" long

Instructions:
Using 5 mm hook and green ch 42

Row 1:(right side) sc in second ch from hook and sc in each ch across; ch1, turn.(41 sts)
Row 2:sc in each st across changing to burgandy in last st; ch1, turn.
Row 3:sc in each ch across; ch 1, turn.
Row 4: sc in each st across changing to white in last st; ch1, turn.
Rows 5-11: sc in each st across; ch 1, turn.
Row 12: sc in each st across changing to burgandy in last st; ch 1, turn.
Row 13: sc in each st across; ch 1, turn.
Row 14: sc in each st across changing to green in last st; ch 1, turn.
Row 15: sc in each st across; ch 1. turn.

Repeat Row 15 until work measures 10.5" making sure last
worked is a wrong side row (WS).

Heel:
Row 1:With RS facing and using 5mm hook skip first 30 sc,
attach white in next sc. ch 1, sc in same sc and last
10 sc; bring other side of leg around and sc in
first 10 sc. Fasten off. This row will now be referred
to as long row.

SHAPE HEEL BY WORKING SHORT ROWS:

Row 2:With RS facing attach white with sl st in 8th st of last row.
sc in same st as joining and sc in next 6 sts; ch 1, turn.
Row 3: sc in 7 sc. sc in next sc of long row; ch 1, turn.
Row 4: sc in 8 sc. sc in next sc of long row; ch 1, turn
Row 5: sc in 9 sc. sc in next sc of long row; ch 1, turn
Row 6: sc in 10 sc. sc in next sc of long row; ch 1, turn
Row 7: sc in 11 sc. sc in next sc of long row ; ch 1, turn
Row 8: sc in 12 sc. sc in next sc of long row; ch 1, turn
Row 9: sc in 13 sc. sc in next sc of long row ; ch 1, turn
Row 10: sc in 14 sc. sc in next sc of long row ; ch 1, turn
Row 11: sc in 15 sc. sc in next sc of long row ; ch 1, turn
Row 12: sc in 16 sc. sc in next sc of long row ; ch 1, turn
Row 13: sc in 17 sc. sc in next sc of long row ; ch 1, turn
Row 14: sc in 18 sc. sc in next sc of long row ; ch 1, turn
Row 15: sc in 19 sc. sc in next sc of long row ; ch 1, turn
Row 16: sc in 20 sc. sc in next sc of long row ; ch 1, turn

All 21 sc of Heel have been worked. Fasten off white.

FOOT:
Row 1:With right side facing and 5 mm hook, skip first 10 sc
of Heel, attach green in next sc, ch 1, sc in same sc and next
10 sc of Heel.Skip next 2 sc of leg; sc in next 16 sc,
Skip next 2 sc of leg; sc in next 10 sc of Heel; ch 1,turn - 37 sc.

Row 2:Work 1 row even in sc; ch 1, turn.

Row 3: Sc in first 10 sc, sc2tog, sc in next
13 sts, sc2tog, sc in last 10 sc, ch 1, turn. (35 sts)

Row 4:work 1 row even in sc, ch 1, turn.

Row 5:ch 1, sc in first 10 sc, sc2tog, sc in next 11 sc,
sc2tog, sc in last 10 sc, ch 1, turn.(33 sts)

Row 6-15:Work 10 rows even in sc, ch 1, turn

Row 16:sc in each st across changing to white in last st, ch 1, turn.

Toe:
Row 1: sc in each st across; ch 1, turn.

To Shape Toe:
Row 2: sc2tog, sc in next 13 sts, sc2tog. ch 1,turn (15 sts)
Row 3: sc2tog, sc to last 2 sts, sc2tog; ch 1, turn (13sts).

Rep last row until 3 sts remain. Fasten off.

For second side of toe complete to correspond to first side of toe.

Fasten off.

Top Edging with hanger:
With RS facing and along other side of original
ch 42 attach white with sl st in first
st, sc in each st across - ch 10 at end (for hanger)
and sl st in first st. Fasten off.

Using tapestry needle sew corner heel sts together.

Sew all side seams and foot seams .
