Lots of folks have said that these round dishcloths
are too nice to use as a dishcloth so I wrote this
poem to go with the dishcloths.
Feel free to attach the poem to dishcloths you might give as gifts.

Instructions:
Materials:
3/4 ounces of worsted weight cotton white
3/4 ounces of worsted weight cotton green
hook: 5.5 mm Conversion chart

Abbreviations:
Sc: single crochet
Sl: sl
St(s): stitch (es)
Ch: Chain
Sp: space
dc: double crochet
hdc: half double crochet
fpdc: front post double crochet
yo: yarn over

Size: 10.5"

Special Stitches:
fpdc: Yo and insert the hook from front to back around the post of the
indicated stitch, yo and pull up a loop even with the last st worked
and complete as a double crochet.

Instructions:
Rnd 1: With green ch 4; join with sl st to first st to form a ring.

Rnd 2: Ch 1, work 8 sc in ring; join with sl st to first st.

Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in same st as joining; ch 2; * skip next st, sc in next st, ch 2; repeat from * around; join with sl st to top of first st. Fasten off.

Rnd 4: Attach white with sl st in any ch-2 sp; ch 3 (counts as first dc); work 4 dc in same ch-2 sp; work 5 dc in each ch-2 space around; join with sl st to top of first st. Fasten off.

Rnd 5: Attach green with sl st in the first dc of any 5 dc group. ch 1, sc in same st; fpdc around post of next st; *sc in next st, fpdc around post of next st; repeat from * around; join with sl st to top of first st.

Rnd 6: Ch 1, work 2 sc in same st as joining, *sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st; repeat from * around; join with sl st to top of first st. Fasten off.

Rnd 7: Attach white with sl st to any st; ch 1, sc in same st as joining; ch 1, skip next st; *sc in next st, ch 1, skip next st; repeat from * around; join with sl st to top of first st.

Rnd 8: Sl st to first ch-1 sp, ch 2 (counts as 1st hdc; work 2 more hdc in same ch-1 sp; work 3 hdc in each ch-1 sp around; join with sl st to top of first st. fasten off.

Rnd 9: Join green with sl st in any st, ch 1, sc in same st work fpdc around post of next st; *sc in next st, fpdc around post of next st; repeat from * around; Join with sl st to top of first st.

Rnd 10: Ch 1, sc in same st as joining; sc in each st around; join with sl st to top of first st; fasten off.
