Materials:
worsted weight cotton - (3) 85 gr balls of ecru/beige Conversion chart
small amount of contrating color (designer used green)
4.5 mm hook Conversion chart
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Size
12"x22"

Abbreviations:
ch: chain
sc: single crochet
sl: slip
st: stitch
FLO: front loop only
BLO: back loop only
RS: right side

Instructions:
Row 1: Using beige ch 54; sc in second ch from hook and
sc in each st across; ch 1, turn. (mark this row as RS row)
Row 2- 44: sc in each st across; ch 1, turn.
Row 44: sc in each st across; fasten off.

Edging:

Rnd 1:Using Fig 1 as a guide and with RS facing attach beige with sl st
in first st of side AB. sc in same st as joining and sc in each st across.
work 3 sc (makes corner)in first st of side BC; sc in each st along side BC
to last st; work 3 sc (makes corner)in last st; sc in each st along side CD;
work 3 sc (makes corner) in first st of side DA. sc in each st up last side
to last st; work 3 sc (makes corner) in last st; join with sl st to first st;
Do not fasten off. Using FLO left from last rnd sl st in each st around.
Join with sl st to first st; fasten off.
Using contrasting color and using BLO join cotton with sl st in any st of
last rnd; sc in same st as joining and sc in each st around making sure to
work 2 sc in each center corner st. Join with sl st to top of first st.
Do not fasten off. Using FLO sl st in each st around. Join with sl st to
first st; fasten off. Weave in ends.
