Instructions for Christmas Bulbs:
Size: Each bulb is approximately 2.25"long

Materials:
sport weight cotton in Christmas colors of red and green
sport weight cotton in yellow

hook: 2.5 mm conversion chart
tapestry needle for sewing in ends
polyester stuffing

Abbreviations:
ch: chain
sl: slip
st: stitch
dc: double crochet
sc: single crochet
RS: right side
WS: wrong side

Instructions:

Bulb:
DO NOT JOIN ROUNDS. PLACE MARKER TO MARK END OF
ROUND UNLESS INDICATED.
Make equal number of red and green bulbs.



Rnd 1: Using red or green ch 2; work 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook;
place marker. (6 sts)
Rnd 2: work 2 sc in firt st, sc in next st; * work 2 sc in
next st, sc in next st; repeat from * around. Place marker (9 sts)
Rnd 3 and 4: sc in each st around; place marker.
Rnd 5: work 2 sc in first st, sc in next 2 sts; * work 2 sc
in next st, sc in next 2 sts; repeat from * around; place marker (12 sts)
Rnd 6 and 7: sc in each st around; place marker.
Rnd 8: work 2 sc in first st, sc in next 3 sts; * work 2 sc
in next st, sc in next 3 sts; repeat from * around; place marker (15 sts)
Rnd 9 and 10 and 11: sc in each st around; place marker.
Rnd 12: (decrease rnd) work sc dec over first 2 sts, sc in next 2 sts;
*work sc dec over next 2 sts, sc in next 2 sts; repeat from * around to
last 3 sts; work sc dec over next 2 sts, sc in last st; place marker
(11 sts)
Stuff bottom part of ornament.

Set aside without finishing off.

Top part:
With yellow; ch 2, work 7 sc in second ch from hook;join with
sl st to first st; DO NOT FASTEN OFF.

Using BLO sc in each st around; join with sl st to first st.

Place small amount of stuffing in top part.
Place top part down inside last row of colored
bulb section (rnd 12) as shown in fig 1.



When yellow part is placed inside bulb part finish off bulb
part by fastening off leavin a long end for sewing.
Use this long piece to weave through last rnd of colored
part and also working through yellow part securing yellow
pice to bottom piece.

Using small piece of yellow worsted weight and tapestry needle
put small loop on top center of yellow part.

Connecting chain:
With green ch 10 sl st into hanger loop of first "bulb",
* ch 10. sl st into hanger loop of next bulb, repeat from *
for as many bulbs as required.
